Gave a five star and it is worth the rating. Only one negative, which isn't anything bad. The instructions, which by the way was a full size booklet, could have used a little more detail, if not in writing than in photo. The first part of the instructions was to pull the back up. I tried and it didn't work than I looked at the picture of the chair diagram. It is delivered fully back, yet the instructions show the back folded forward and that is why it says to pull it up. A few other details could have been explained better. Now on to all the good parts. There was no assembly, lift the top of the box off of the bottom of the box, remove the plastic bag and a few Styrofoam wedges and it was all set up. I guess I reviewed to many other massage chairs, I could have sworn this chair had wheels to move it round. It doesn't but it was easy to move with a hand truck I had I got the white chair, it is very attractive. The head rest was easy to install. I have owned massage chairs so I had a very short learning curve. I put the chair through all of it's selections, and found it to be fantastic. There is a inner support that can be removed for a deeper massage, I'd suggest unless you are extremely thick in the back area to leave the padding in, this chair can be very intense. I would like to have found a better way to focus on the upper part of the shoulder yet what it does is satisfactory. The head rest is large and comfortable. Massaging the back of the skull is fantastic, it goes to the top of the skull and if you are familiar with acupressure you will find each of the pressure points. The back and lower back massage is the best I have ever had. It actually lifted me off of the back support, I did have to put it on med. It was like this chair knew every sensitive spot on my back which has been hurting me. By time I was done and got up my back was pain free.
I purchased The Human Touch Whole Body 7.1 for use in a workplace Wellness/Relaxation Room as a tool for reducing Compassion Fatigue. The chair is wonderful! It is compact (which was important to me- doesn’t overwhelm the room, and this room is on the second floor in a historic building, with a steep staircase), relatively attractive (for a massage chair), and delivers a GREAT massage! Everyone loves it! It gets constant use! The vinyl fabric (I got espresso) is attractive and seems high quality. It is also a great value for the price. I would highly recommend it. The chair isn’t that heavy. I paid for “room of choice delivery,” but two average strength people could carry it, and does not require “installation.” When you purchase it, this comes up as an option, for an extra price, but is completely unnecessary (you unpack it, plug it in, and turn it on).
This massage chair is the best chair I have ever sat in. The heat is a nice touch for those winter days and it helps loosen up the muscles some. The best thing about this chair is that it massages DEEP! This is almost just as good as going and getting a deep tissue massage but it’s at your own disposal in the comfort of your own home. I sit in this every morning before I can stand up straight. I’m 6’1 and it fits me and my husband who is 6’4 perfect. Thai thing even massages your neck! I’m telling you it’s wonderful, and we only put it on setting 2 out of 3 for intensity. If you want an amazing deep tissue massage this is the chair for you!
Love this thing. It really feels like a masseuse is giving you the $100 treatment. There is a learning curve, but afterwards it is amazing. The pre-programmed 3D routines are to die for. Trust me, this is so far from the old "Magic Fingers" type of vibrating massage it can't be compared. It can do way more than I thought possible. If you work for a living, you need one. If you have a chronic sore back, you need one. It is probably best suited for people 6' 1" and shorter (I'm that height and I think it's close to the max). A word to the wise...don't over do it the first day. I spent a couple of hours trying all of the different functions the day I got it and was pretty sore the next day. After a few days your body gets used to it and then it is amazing.
