I have 3 3d printers and so far, this is my favorite. It is easy to use and my prints look good. I have not had to calibrate or level it at all since setup and I have used it several times. My only complaints are that my hardware was missing the 2 screws that are used for the filament holder and I’ve emailed the company but not gotten assistance as of yet. Also, this machine is VERY VERY loud. I’m ok with the noise but if that might be an issue for you, you will definitely have to keep this is another room or figure out what to do with it.
I've had this printer for almost two years and have had a great time with it so far. The printbed is sturdy, rarely requiring leveling, and the build plate has great adhesion. My experience with it has been essentially hassle free - the machine has been very reliable and has needed next to no maintenance in the time I've had it. Potential downsides: loud, greater compromise of detail at higher print rates than other printers, ultrabase has to cool off completely before removing prints. I use it mostly for prototyping robotics mechanisms and parts, and occasionally making figurines as gifts.
I bought this printer about 4 months ago, I needed something to keep my brain working during lockdown. Having never had a 3d printer before it was all going to be a learning curve. The product was very easy to assemble, only a few screws so within an hour I was ready to go. Levelling the hotbed was a little tricky but with a little patience i got it done, now it¡¯s easy as you find your own way. I have had no adhesion problems with the hotbed, if you set it properly (do this with the bed preheated) and always let the bed cool right down before trying to remove your prints. The only problem I have had is the hotbed packed up due to what is probably a broken wire, although I found it frustrating communicating with technical support which is down to the time difference between the UK and China they sent me a new hot bed which arrived about a week after being sent, quick and easy to change it. Personally I would buy again as this machine is nice and sturdy, it is a little noisy but mine is now inside a cabinet. A few pics of some of the things I have made.
Purchased at Christmas and I love this printer. There have been some minor issues but Anycubic has been responsive. Would definitely purchase again. I looked hard at Ender machines, not easy to assemble, all sorts of upgrades the i3 did not need. i3 was easy to assemble and I was up and printing quickly. Waiting for the Chrion to go on sale!
Got this for Christmas 2020, and it's brill. Actually managed to bag this during a lightning deal and got it for 230 quid. It is well packaged, and It actually arrived earlier than expected. Had a minor niggle setting up, and customer service were very quick in responding. Assembly is a doddle. The manual is on the supplied SD card, and there are also some spare parts supplied, too, which was a nice touch. The prints are decent enough, although I'm still in the getting-to-know-it phase. First thing I printed was a joystick mode-selector for the home-arcade machine I'm making. This took several iterations, and the beauty of home printing is that this option is available. I tried using TinkerCAD, which is ok, but ended up going back to AutoCad, for the finer control over the designs. Use Cura to slice your models, but take your time with the settings; don't just use the defaults. This printer prints PLA at 230¡ã, but Cura defaults to 200¡ã, which is too low. I have my printer in the garage, so it's convenient to leave it to print away without disturbing anyone. I also put a ziploc bag over the filament spool, with the end feeding out to stop the filament bulking up with moisture. This seems to have worked well for the past few months. Yes, it'a a bit noisy, but there are 4 stepper-motors, and a couple of fans running, so it's to be expected. For some comparison, it's quieter than a hairdryer. I can't recommend this printer enough.
