I was skeptical at first because of the price. I’ve also never used an SLA printer. I’m sold forever. I can’t imaging using another type of printing. The detail is unbelievable. Setup took under 5 minutes, and most of that time was me looking for stuff. I highly recommend this printer, particularly for high detail parts.
Been printing with filament for a while, but wanted an upgrade for little detailed pieces. The price was right, so I decided to get my feet wet with the Zero. The quality of prints is great, and using it was a lot easier than I expected (I did pick up a wash/cure too, which took a lot of the work out of the post-processing). If I had anything bad to say, it's that now that I've seen the quality difference between filament and resin with my own eyes, on the same stl file, I realized I'm going to want a larger model very soon to keep up with my printing pace. For a first machine though, the price is killer and the prints are crisp. Excellent starter model.
Been using the I3Mega for years and love it. Got the Photon Zero to make more detailed prints and though there's a small learning curve it's doing exactly what I wanted. Only issue was the shipping process. FedEx is unreliable in my area and the website never showed the printer shipped. Ordered June 26th and got it July 11th. I ordered the Wash and Cure machine the same day (right before it went on sale), recieved a link for FedEx shipping but after researching discovered it was for UPS. But don't let that discourage you both machines are great and Anycubic is a good company that supports their products. Well worth the buy.
Beautiful looking and well-built paperweight that my kids bought me for Father's Day. Sadly, Anycubic does not ship the resin you order AND PAY FOR with your printer. I am stuck with a shelf ornament that I cannot use because I can't buy any resin locally.I had to spend $60 for resin on Amazon.ca that'll hopefully arrive in time for Father's Day. I'm $$#%^&^&* LIVID.
I am a complete NOOB and this is my first 3d printer so I have nothing to compare it to. Assembly: Easy, the provided instructions are very good with color pictures. My first print failed pretty bad because I didn't level the printer properly. There are Youtube videos on leveling Photon printers that are a clearer then the printed instructions. Once leveled I haven't had any problems. Operation: The software does not have a version for Linux. So I have to use my wife's Windows computer to convert STL files to PW0. Not much of a learning curve for this and it seems pretty intuitive. I haven't messed around too much with settings and have just used the defaults. Make sure you identify your printer in the software. I have not printed anything really complicated mostly simple objects. PROS +So far simple to setup and use. +Packaging was excellent. Seriously doubt it could damaged during shipping. +Price, I wanted to try 3d printing without breaking the bank account. CONS -The resin that they sell with the photon is brittle you can drill it but it snaps if flexed. -The software is not available for Linux
