This is a nice wooden jewelry box that is stronger than it looks, but there are a few problems and things you should know. 1) pushing all the pieces together requires a bit of force that will wear out your hands after an hour or two, so pace yourself. 2) the design requires that you tie rubber bands into small loops. With my big hands it was much easier to go to a craft store and buy tiny rubber bands. 3) use lots of wax on the gears and shape the wax to work on the different surfaces 4) I was a little disappointed with the final result. It didn't operate as smoothly as I'd hoped and didn't seem as finished as it should be for the price. That said if I was to build another one it probably work better because of what I learned making this one.
I'm a repeat customer. My 14 year old grandson loves these kits. I bought the jewelry box as a "progressive " gift. My grandson loved building it and he gave to his mom (my daughter) as a mothers day gift. She loves it. The jewelry box is beautiful and unique.
