Excellent prediction laser cut clock parts. Easy to Assemble and snap together parts. Great building instruction and illustration. The spring wind up though needs a spring housing and the back retaining of the spring drive needs improvment. The wind up drive drops out easy at the back retaining. A added an aluminum tube to hold it and retain the drive. I added. 500 gram fuse drive currently gives me 8 hours or 1 hour per five cm fuse line.
This is a nice wooden jewelry box that is stronger than it looks, but there are a few problems and things you should know. 1) pushing all the pieces together requires a bit of force that will wear out your hands after an hour or two, so pace yourself. 2) the design requires that you tie rubber bands into small loops. With my big hands it was much easier to go to a craft store and buy tiny rubber bands. 3) use lots of wax on the gears and shape the wax to work on the different surfaces 4) I was a little disappointed with the final result. It didn't operate as smoothly as I'd hoped and didn't seem as finished as it should be for the price. That said if I was to build another one it probably work better because of what I learned making this one.
