Easy to use!!!! I made three batches of pierogis and this tool made it quite easy to do. (I already had a circle cutter the exact size). Filling and sealing were simple and I made meat and ricotta, cheesy potato and sauerkraut. I also made fruit filled pies using pre-made pie dough (middle pic). By the last pic, you can see they hold up perfectly after boiling then pan frying.

I bought these for my son-in-law, and after tasting some of his creations I decided to order them for me too. It will be fun to serve them to company. I bought him a cookbook specifically for empanadas as well, and I also ordered that for me.
Very handy because of the sizes! I make empanades, cal-zones etc. Being a vegetarian they are very helpful. I had ordered the Ming metal ones online and they are just too small to fill and 2 of them are the same size unusable.
I use these every Tuesday for my children. The dough presses work fine just be sure not to put more than 2-3 tablespoons for the filling or you will make a mess.
used these in making meatpies and it came out perfect. although I had to wiggle the dough out of the back end of the mold. this might be due to putting too much meat in the middle before pressing down.
Empanadas just got easier. I loved using these with the discos that I had ordered to make empanadas. The combination was great. The thing that made them particularly funcional was using a non-stick spray so that the dough could easily be removed without damaging the pastry. My empanadas were uniform and beautiful and I can make them at the last minute without stressing! They would be great for turnovers as well, I'm sure...but I cannot move beyond empanadas!
As a lifelong lover of empanadas I jumped at the opportunity to get a press to make the rolling and pressing process fast and easy. While this product doesn't help with the rolling process, (still need the trusty tortilla press for that) it does make cutting and forming a breeze. The hard plastic construction and sharp edge on the base is perfect for cutting the dough in circles and the hinged press leaves you with the perfect pocket. Since it comes with three different sizes, I really enjoyed being able to make the tiny empanadas for my daughter.
