These things are awesome. Now with that being said none of the options to secure them would work for me as I am attaching them to the side of my boat for a Christmas boat parade. So I ordered strong magnets, metal plates (like used for phones) and 90mm petri dishes. I hot glued the metal plates to the bottom of the petri dishes, super glued the petri dishes to the side of my boat (to be removed later with Goo be gone) and hot glued the quarter sized magnet to the bottom of the light so I could change the batteries when needed. The petri dish keeps the light from moving laterally. Magnets are strong when pulled directly but slide off plates. Will update when I see how long these last.
This is about the 4th set of the submergible LEDs I've bought. When you look at the pictures on the internet, they all look the same. However these are built a lot better than all others and even though they use the same style remote control this one actually works for these lights.
These little lights are perfect for what I need, granted, they are not light bulb bright, but they are close. The remotes work remarkably well, from other rooms in the house even. We got them so that we would not need to turn on the main light in the room. With different sleep schedules these work great in lighting up just enough to see and get done what needs to be don without disturbing others. Can't really review the water proof-ness of the product, but the rubber gasket would seem to work well in doing so. Haven't really used the suction, we have set them on the dressers. Would recommend these.
I LOVE this submersible LED light set. I put one in my water fountain and it looks wonderful! I purchased these for my fountain, but the applications extensive. Since these are waterproof, I plan on placing some in my large garden planters for accent lighting. You do have to point the remote at each individual light to power on/off or change the settings. This works perfect for my purposes.
