These are great. I hate kneading dough, so I make spoon bread or batter bread. I don't have a standing mixer, and Id almost given up on the endeavor because using a wooden spoon to stir thick dough is almost as annoying to me as kneading. Everything changed when I got this tool. When the dough is a mass of sticky elemental goo, this tool actually allows you to mix it.
I have two in my kitchen and buy these as gifts for people who I teach to make home made bread. Great gift. Love how the dough just slides off and hardly anything to clean. I use dough whisk when making no knead bread, cakes, and thick batters. Tip: when working with cleaning off dough (bowl, whisk, etc.) use a kitchen brush not a sponge. If needed the kitchen brush can be placed in dishwasher.
I'm always looking for unique and functional kitchen tools...a Scandinavian trait..hoping for the best I ordered 10 of these for stocking stuffers. Just made my first pie dough and its a game changer.
Greatest invention since ice cream. I make a lot of cookies for my grandchildren. The Whisk makes it so easy.
I love this whisk!! I didn’t have high expectations for it, ordering it more out of curiosity, but it delivers and then some! It’s crazy efficient and works for scrambled eggs, double batches of cookie dough, bread dough, and brownies. It’s so fast and the handle is very sturdy and comfortable to grip. I do wish the handle were metal so it could go into the dishwasher, but it really washes easily by hand. I did oil the wooden handle with mineral oil to protect it from water. I highly recommend this product!
I’ve been making sourdough bread for the last few months. I’m new at it so no expert, but wanted to try these out and see how they work. So far they work well. I have no idea how they compare to other danish dough whisks and I also have no idea what you are supposed to use the different ones for. They are easy to clean and store flat.
I've used this Danish whisk several times. I am impressed with its sturdiness and comfortable handle. It is great for mixing soft batters such as quick breads, cookie dough and cake batters. I tried it with regular yeast bread dough and found that as the dough gets thicker, the mixing becomes harder. But this tool did not break or bend. It's also great for mixing liquids.
It mixes up dough like magic! No messy dough clean up, absolutely love it!
