I have tried this on one of my needles with a very small eye. I hand the needle threaded in 2 seconds. Like others have said, it is a little awkward to use, but I am confident that it will get a little easier to use. Overall, I am so thrilled to be able to thread my needles so easily.
I love these, it makes it so much easier to thread a needle. Was having someone else thread my needles... GREAT PRODUCT !!!!
Super easy to use. If you're having any trouble figuring out how to use it. I'm happy there were three on the set in case I lose one. I always have it around
This is an easy to use threader that is far better than the wire ones. I can’t tell you how many I broke of those. What I like is that they came in a pack of three. I can leave one in my sewing basket, one in my needlepoint projects and one as a backup. I also like that it has a ring on the end so I can wear it as a necklace while I’m working. The little needle threader on the opposite end of the automatic device is perfect for threading needles you can’t quite get to work with the automatic end.
Even with progressive lenses, it's been a few years that I was not able to thread a needle without a threader, unless I use a self-threading needle. Moreover, getting a wire threader through the needle hole became problematic. However, using an automatic threader that came with my Bernette overlocker made me think: there must be an automatic threader for hand needles, too. And Amazon came handy again, these little threaders arrived quickly and proved themselves helpful. It's true that they had no instructions with them but it was easy enough to figure out how to operate the device. It is also true that sometimes more than one try is necessary, but it's quick and painless unlike trying to put thread through the needle hole without seeing either clearly. All in all, it's a keeper.
I'm 71 and it seems like the needle hole got smaller and smaller over the years. This helps, that's for sure!!
The needle threader definitely works but you need 2 hands for sure. I have had other needle threaders that were easier to use but for the price it is fine and it's still better than me trying to thread-the-needle without any help!
I have the same concept on my sewing machine, thought they might work for me. They were perfect! Should have checked this out sooner and saved myself a lot of frustration. If it's getting harder to see that little eye...I highly recommend these.
