Got these for my dog. He already uses bells at the door for potty training but wanted another way for him to communicate his needs. We have just done food water and you (his pulling rope toy). He was already touch trained to close door and touch objects so only thing I had to do was teach him touching a button got him his response. This was the first night with the food button and I just have him a handful of food at a time until he understood. Same concept with water. And he uses them both on his own if he is out of water or if he is hungry before it’s dinner time. Really excited to add more words. I plan to Velcro the buttons to some sort of board in the future.
I bought this for my shichi dogs they are so smart and this is perfect 🥰💞. I started with the word TREAT. First time using them and u need 2 batteries the small thin ones and a tiny screw driver to open the tap. Also I recorded few times saying the word TREAT very loud so my dogs can really understand 😅 I would definitely buy more as they learn more words.
My dog is 4 years old, so I was skeptical if she would get it (since she's not a puppy learning, you know). I wanted to teach her to stop scratching the door when she wanted to go out into the yard. I recorded the word "yard" and placed it by the back door. Every time she scratched the door I pointed at her and told her "yard." As soon as she did I opened the door. 5 days later - amazingly she just pushes a button! No more scratches on the door. Even when she is very excited to go out and play with the squirrels.(Super friendly, Super smart)
I really like these , they are made well for the price. My dog, as he learns, gives them a beating and no problems so far. It's really fun and employering for my dog to learn to tell me what he wants using the words. Consistancy is key and I love hearing him "speak" I may order more since he has almost mastered 4 words. Yes, sometimes, I need to re-record the word, no big deal. Thanks for these affordable adjunks to my dogs ability to communicate his needs. Love it!
I could see a million uses for these fun little buttons. We recorded a personal message for each of our 3 grandchildren. Of course, they immediately recorded their own messages! I have no idea what the "battery life" is for this item as they were gifts. Might be fun for home schooled kids as a game, or the classroom, or who knows.
